Signing in and your account

How to sign in, keep your session safe with Face ID, change the language, and sign out. This works the same in all four apps.

Which app is mine?

  • Alora — students.
  • Alora Maestros — teachers.
  • Alora Consejeros — counselors.
  • Alora Familia — parents and guardians.

If you sign in to the wrong one, the app says so (for example, This app is for students) and offers Sign out. School administrators use the Alora web portal instead.

Sign in

  1. Open the app. You land on the sign-in screen.
  2. Type the email and password your school gave you. Sign in becomes available once both are filled in.
  3. Tap Sign in. Next time you open the app you stay signed in.
Forgot your password?

The apps have no password reset. Your school's Alora administrator can reset it for you.

Two-step verification

If your account requires two-step verification, the app shows This account requires two-step verification, which isn't available in the app yet. Use the Alora web portal for now.

Lock the app with Face ID

  1. Open Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Turn on Unlock with Face ID.
  3. From now on, the app asks for Face ID when it opens, before showing your information.

If Face ID fails or you cancel it, you see Alora is locked. Tap Unlock to try again — you are still signed in. Face ID is handled by iOS; Alora never receives your face data. The setting is saved on this iPhone only.

Change the language

Open Settings and choose Español or English under Language. The app switches immediately and remembers your choice on your account, so it follows you to other devices. Text your school writes (course names, questions, announcements) appears in the language the school wrote it in.

Light and dark appearance

In the student, teacher and counselor apps, Appearance offers System, Light and Dark. System follows your iPhone. The family app is always light.

Sign out

  • Students and teachers: tap the sign-out icon at the top right of Home. It signs you out right away.
  • Counselors and families: open Settings and tap Sign out.

Signing out ends your session and removes it from the iPhone. Your language and Face ID choices stay on the device.

Close your account

Accounts belong to your school, so closing one is done by the school. You can also write to hello@alorak12.com and we will coordinate it with your school. See the Privacy Policy.

Inicio de sesión y tu cuenta

Cómo iniciar sesión, proteger tu sesión con Face ID, cambiar el idioma y cerrar sesión. Funciona igual en las cuatro apps.

  • Alora — estudiantes.
  • Alora Maestros — maestros.
  • Alora Consejeros — consejeros.
  • Alora Familia — padres, madres y encargados.

Si entras en la app equivocada, la app te lo indica y te ofrece Cerrar sesión. Los administradores escolares usan el portal web de Alora.

Iniciar sesión

  1. Abre la app. Verás la pantalla de inicio de sesión.
  2. Escribe el correo y la contraseña que te dio tu escuela. Iniciar sesión se activa cuando ambos campos están completos.
  3. Toca Iniciar sesión. La próxima vez que abras la app seguirás con tu sesión iniciada.
¿Olvidaste tu contraseña?

Las apps no permiten restablecerla. El administrador de Alora de tu escuela puede hacerlo por ti.

Verificación en dos pasos

Si tu cuenta la requiere, la app te avisa que todavía no está disponible en la app. Por ahora, usa el portal web de Alora.

Bloquear la app con Face ID

  1. Abre Ajustes (el ícono de engranaje).
  2. Activa Desbloquear con Face ID.
  3. Desde ahora, la app pide Face ID al abrirse, antes de mostrar tu información.

Si Face ID falla o lo cancelas, la app queda bloqueada. Toca Desbloquear para intentarlo de nuevo — tu sesión sigue activa. Face ID lo maneja iOS; Alora nunca recibe los datos de tu rostro. Este ajuste se guarda solo en este iPhone.

Cambiar el idioma

Abre Ajustes y elige Español o English en Idioma. La app cambia al instante y guarda tu preferencia en tu cuenta, así que te sigue en otros dispositivos. Los textos que escribe tu escuela (nombres de cursos, preguntas, anuncios) aparecen en el idioma en que la escuela los escribió.

Apariencia clara y oscura

En las apps de estudiantes, maestros y consejeros, Apariencia ofrece Sistema, Claro y Oscuro. Sistema sigue la apariencia de tu iPhone. La app de familias siempre usa la apariencia clara.

Cerrar sesión

  • Estudiantes y maestros: toca el ícono de salida arriba a la derecha en Inicio. Cierra la sesión de inmediato.
  • Consejeros y familias: abre Ajustes y toca Cerrar sesión.

Cerrar sesión termina tu sesión y la elimina del iPhone. Tus preferencias de idioma y Face ID se quedan en el dispositivo.

Cerrar tu cuenta

Las cuentas pertenecen a tu escuela, así que es la escuela quien las cierra. También puedes escribir a hello@alorak12.com y lo coordinamos con tu escuela. Consulta la Política de privacidad.
